Colorado Springs, Colorado
In terms of shops and restaurants there wasn’t much of a variety at the time we went. We did however love all the outdoor activities you can do. We headed over to the Manitou Incline Trail and the Garden of Gods.
Manitou Incline Trail here we go…..
-
Walking from the parking lot
I mean…..it doesn’t look that bad right? It’s hot.
-
Alright ! Here we go ~
I said….not knowing what I’m signing up for…
-
Bring a lot of water
I think I just might pass out now….from a heat stroke
-
Struggling together....air getting thin
There is a half way point where you can cut your hike short.
-
At this point everyone be struggling
Pace yourself so you don’t burn out.
-
So close to the top ~
One last push !!!
-
and....WE MADE IT TO THE TOP!!!
Can’t feel my legs, but I feel sooo accomplished!
-
Forgot I had to hike back down
There’s the path ….can I get a helicopter ride instead?
Garden of Gods
Such a cool park. There’s so many things to do here. Visit the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, rocking climbing, and hiking. The visitor center is a fun place to visit with friends or family. You can learn about the history of the Garden of Gods and see some cool exhibits.
Rock Climbing at the Garden of Gods!
-
Rock Climbing
Getting our gear ready to scale this rock !
-
Look at me !
I am actually 3/4th way to the top
-
My 2nd Climb
The sky started to get really dark…
Colorado has such unpredictable weather. It started to storm! Sunny one moment thundering the next ~
During our climb it started to storm so I had to bring my partner down and we hid inside a mini cave in the rock formation.
Spend some time hiking around the Garden of Gods. I think you’ll enjoy it (though you might not when it’s ~100 degrees)
